FlixBus connecting region to Pearson airport

WATERLOO REGION RECORD

FlixBus is adding a new stop on its Waterloo to Toronto bus line, offering travellers a new way to get to and from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

Starting Thursday, the intercity bus service will begin running trips from the region to Pearson twice a day, in each direction.

The service will operate on Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays, with buses leaving Waterloo at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and arriving at the airport at 11:20 a.m. and 6:50 p.m.

The return trip will leave Pearson at 8:05 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., arriving in Waterloo at 9:20 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Tickets booked online cost $13 each way, plus a $4 service fee.

The German company FlixBus began offering direct bus transit between Waterloo Region and Toronto last April.

It’s the first time a private company has offered city-tocity bus service since Greyhound suspended routes in 2020.
