New restrictions come into effect
New restrictions are in force in Manitoba to slow a surge of COVID-19 cases. There’s no more in-person dining in restaurants or bars — not even on patios — but the establishment can still offer takeout and delivery. Indoor religious services are prohibited, and barbers, hair salons and estheticians are shut. Gyms, museums, art galleries and libraries have to close, and the capacity at stores drops to 10 per cent from 25. The restrictions last until May 30.
