Loaded handgun found in park

Police recovered a loaded handgun from a park near Manchester Road in Kitchener on Thursday. Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a handgun just after 7 p.m. and found the gun located under a tree in Shantz Park. The service’s drugs and firearms unit continues to investigate the incident.
