Charges laid after dog dragged
A man in Kitchener has been charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly dragged a dog behind a motorbike on Thursday. The dog suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident, Waterloo Regional Police said. Police responded to the area of Southridge Drive on Thursday evening after reports indicated that a male was operating a motorized bike and a dog was being dragged. The owner has been charged with one count of cruelty to animals causing unnecessary suffering. The Provincial Animal Welfare Service is continuing to investigate the incident.
