CEBL’s Rattlers name assistant

The Saskatchewan Rattlers have hired veteran NBA assistant Dean Demopoulos as their head coach for the upcoming Canadian Elite Basketball League season. The Philadelphia native coached college basketball at Temple University as an assistant under Hall of Famer John Chaney. He made his NBA debut in 2001, as an assistant with the Seattle SuperSonics under Nate McMillan. He was an assistant coach in Portland for five seasons, and with the Los Angeles Clippers for three seasons. Demopoulos led Melbourne United of the Australian National Basketball League to an undefeated season in 2015.
