BRUCE, Esther Mae (nee Roebuck)

1941-2022

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Esther Mae Bruce (nee Roebuck), on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the age of 81 years. She was the beloved wife of Gordon Bruce for 52 years. Predeceased by her parents, Richard, and Winifred Roebuck (nee Oglivie), and her siblings Nicklin, Stanley, Leonard, Evelyn, and Ronald. She is survived by her siblings Grace, Joan, and George. Loving Aunt of Christine, Anthony, Rachelle, Susan, Richard, Michael, Michelle, Shelly-Ann, Sean, Natasha, Roger, Denise, Ian, David, Paul, Paula, Joanna (deceased), Luke (deceased), Laura-Lee, Glen, Kerry & Rostang. Esther was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and migrated to Toronto, Canada in 1965. She enjoyed her career as a secretary until her retirement from the Wilfred Laurier University. The family would like to thank all of her nurses at the Freeport Hospice in Kitchener, Ontario as well as Dr. Hudson Schwarz who cared for her during her last weeks. Funeral arrangements have been made with Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, Ontario, N2J 1P7. A service to commemorate Esther's life will be held in their chapel on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. A livestream link to the service will be available at www.erbgood.com No flowers by request and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
