Woman airlifted to hospital following crash

An 83-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Friday.
A black SUV and a white truck collided at 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of Line 86 and Side Road 19, near Wallenstein
A passenger in the SUV, a woman from Drayton, was airlifted to an out-of-region hospital, Waterloo Regional Police said.
The SUV driver, an 84-yearold man from Drayton, had serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The truck driver, a 29-year-old man from Dundalk, and two passengers, a 30-year-old woman and an eight-year-old boy, were not injured.
Roads in the area were closed for several hours while police investigated.
