Loose snakes surprised police

Police got a surprise when they pulled over a car on Saturday. “Two large, uncontained boa constrictor snakes” were inside, Waterloo Regional Police said. The car had been pulled over at 6:15 p.m. in the area of Ottawa Street North and Shaftsbury Drive. Police seized 30 grams of suspected fentanyl. There was also a young child in the vehicle. A Kitchener woman, 35, was charged with drug trafficking and driving while suspended.
