Sexual assault at restaurant

Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault at a restaurant. A female was sexually assaulted by an unknown male on Friday at 9:15 p.m. in the area of Ottawa Street North and River Road East, Waterloo Regional Police said. He left the restaurant after the assault. Investigators are seeking help from the public to identify him. He is described as having an average build and brown, balding hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-570-9777.
